What is Forest School

Forest School is a concept adopted from Scandinavia , at its heart is the belief that children learn and develop when they lead their own play and learning in the outdoors.

At Forest Bees we believe children (and adults!) benefit from time in a woodland environment, where they can play, engage with nature and with risk (in a controlled environment).

We believe in allowing children to explore on their own terms, we offer activities that might engage or stimulate them, but we believe in freedom of choice.

Forest School develops a community, between the children and their parents, in a relaxed, outdoor environment. Our qualified Forest School leader will help to facilitate these relationships with each other and with nature.
