About Forest School

Forest School is all about letting your children lead their own play and learning, in a natural environment. There will always be a number of activities and invitations to play available, but invariably children make their own minds up about what they want to achieve at Forest School. This is also a time for you to bond with your children and maybe socialise with other parents and carers, and perhaps make some new friends. I’d like Forest School to be a place where everyone feels comfortable, to enjoy time outdoors with your little ones. 

Sessions will start at 9:30 am, I know it’s sometimes a bit of a mission to get out of the door with your young people so get here when you can!

We’ll start around the fire circle with a brief introduction, don’t worry if you miss this you’ll have plenty of time to catch up later!

There will be a number of activities that you and your children can get involved in, and each week there will be a different craft activity for you to complete with your child if they choose to. 

We will have some time for some games, but this is all optional, if your children don’t want to join in then please don’t worry. 

We’ll have a story, snack and drink at the end of the session so that your children know that its time to go home, if you need to leave earlier then please go with what your children need.
